Concept and Features:

The Baker Apartment is a bespoke interior fit-out of a two-storey apartment in the Bellagio building, Wentworth Point, designed for a creative couple to fit their busy lifestyles. The clients desired a home that combines functional elegance with Australian contemporary aesthetics. The design reconfigures the existing apartment layout, incorporating an open-plan concept while creating distinct zones for work, leisure, and living. A custom-designed internal staircase serves as both a functional connection between levels and a sculptural focal point within the space.

High-quality materials and finishes are the cornerstone of the design, ensuring durability and sophistication throughout the apartment. The kitchen is a centrepiece, meticulously crafted with natural stone countertops, integrated appliances, and custom joinery that includes innovative storage solutions. Wet areas, such as the bathrooms, are designed as luxurious retreats, featuring stone tiling, brushed metal fixtures, and refined joinery, while the walk-in robe offers tailored shelving and lighting to enhance both functionality and style. Custom joinery extends across the apartment, with each piece designed to maximise storage and maintain a cohesive aesthetic.

The design celebrates the clients’ creative lifestyle by incorporating a curated collection of contemporary Australian artwork and a bold yet harmonious colour palette that complements the pieces. Lighting solutions are carefully chosen to highlight key areas, with dimmable fixtures for ambiance and task-specific lighting for functional spaces. Timber-framed doors and windows, paired with durable, low-maintenance materials like stone and metal, ensure the home reflects the best of Australian contemporary design, creating an inviting and inspiring environment tailored to the couple’s personal and professional needs.
